Multi-family building in Wieluń

Description

The apartment building in Wieluń, on Sadowa Street, is a three-section mid-rise block with nearly 4,300 m² of usable floor area and 50 apartments. It completes an urban block and is the tallest building in the ensemble. The ground level houses an above-ground garage with most of the parking spaces, fitted with electric vehicle charging installations — still a rare solution in buildings of this scale. Each of the three staircases has a passenger lift. The massing is two-part: the ground floor, with garage doors and a residential section, is finished in dark anthracite render, and the storeys cantilevered above it in white render, with part of the west façade clad in golden-oak timber boards. The dark base visually lightens the building and organises the vehicle entrance area. The roof is flat and partly green, which almost doubles the share of biologically active area compared with what the ground around the building alone provides.
