Single-family house near Jasło
Description
This single-family house near Jasło is a bespoke design for a private client, built to an energy-efficient standard. The elongated single-storey volume with an attic has a steep gable roof clad in dark standing-seam metal, without eaves — a form clearly referencing the region’s rural buildings, but with contemporary, restrained detailing. The façades are white, while the gable walls and the section by the canopy are clad in dark vertical timber boarding, adding a warm material accent to the simple form. The ground floor opens onto the garden through large glazing and sliding terrace doors; the terrace, overlooking the surrounding hills, naturally extends the living area. Rooflights bring overhead daylight inside. The layout spans two floors: the ground floor holds the open-plan living area — living room, dining room and kitchen — with the garage section, and the attic contains bedrooms, bathrooms and walk-in wardrobes. The interiors feature white brick walls, graphite kitchen units and timber shelving with a firewood niche. A black ceiling above the dining area and pendant spotlights define zones within the open space.
