Multi-family buildings on Polnych Kwiatów Street in Jasło — Stage I
Description
The multi-family building in Jasło on Polnych Kwiatów Street consists of two above-ground segments linked by a shared underground garage. It contains 42 flats with a total usable floor area of approx. 2,400 m². The key design decision was to pull the segments apart so that a courtyard with a pedestrian route linking Polnych Kwiatów Street with Mendysa Street forms above the garage link — the building does not close off the block but opens a passage through the site, joining the district’s network of pedestrian connections. On the west side, above the garage, are earth-covered terraces accessible from the ground-floor flats. The building has four storeys above ground, including a habitable attic with dormers, and one underground level. The gable roof is covered with red metal roof tiles, and the façades are partly beige-brown clinker brick, partly white render. Each segment has its own staircase with a lift, so all flats are accessible to wheelchair users and older people, with direct access from the garage level. The underground level houses parking spaces and storage units, with extra visitor parking in front of the building. The roof also carries photovoltaic panels, and rainwater is collected in tanks and used to tend the greenery.
