Design for the Cavarious café chain
Description
The Cavarious café chain design covers both the concept and the detailed designs for individual outlets. It was developed with IN PRACOWNIA; the client is Centrum Obsługi Operacyjnej Sp. z o.o. together with Baltona Sp. z o.o., and the designers are Ewelina Siestrzewitowska and Edyta Wojciechowska. The chain includes cafés in several cities – Katowice, Modlin and Warsaw, on Nowy Świat Street and at Warsaw Central Station – as well as designs for Bremen, Bydgoszcz and Gdańsk. The chain standard is based on three zones of differing character – comfort, standard and express – which, depending on the venue, may appear separately or blend within a single space, as in the café on Nowy Świat. Brand recognition comes from turquoise colour accents, warm timber, varied upholstery on low armchairs, living plants in tall planters, black painted steel and warm directional light. The essence of chain design here is flexibility: the same set of solutions has to work in a historic tenement building, a station concourse and an airport terminal, each time adapting to the existing interior rather than overwhelming it.
